Hi, I’m Kathy — the creative heart behind Hear I Am Designs, where I craft handmade hearing aid accessories and jewellery, and curate the perfect gifts to celebrate individuality and promote confidence.

I live with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and other chronic health conditions, and I began losing my hearing about 15 years ago (or at least that’s when I got my first hearing aids!). Today, I have severe hearing loss in both ears.

When I first started wearing hearing aids, I struggled with confidence — until I discovered how decorating them made me feel proud to stand out, not hide away. What began as a personal project quickly grew into a real passion. I loved making my hearing aids mine, full of colour and personality!

In 2018, I decided I wanted to help others feel the same joy and empowerment — and that’s how Hear I Am Designs was born.

Since then, I have also branched out into making and selling other accessories and gifts too. Every piece I create is made with love, to celebrate individuality and encourage confidence.
